Stoolball Club

Barcombe Stoolball Club

The sport of stoolball, over 500 years old, is the forerunner of cricket. It's played with similar equipment (a bat, ball and wicket) on any grass area with an 80m-diameter boundary. For league games teams are made up of 11 players.

Barcombe has a wide age range of players from 14 through to 50+, so stoolball is a game for everyone. We are always on the lookout for players, umpires and scorers!

Barcombe Ladies play in the mid-division league and use the village recreation ground for their home games.
